We have booked the New Moon Trip where you will get to experience the Bumphead Parrotfish gathering in large schools to begin their noisy mating dance.

Palau features proudly in the world’s top 5 scuba diving destinations; The great variety of dive sites and seascapes, combined with the fantastic marine life, are key factors attributing to this. Blue Corner, German Channel, Peleliu Wall and Big Drop-Off are only a few of Palau’s top-class dive sites. 

Explore the memorable underwater features of Palau’s famous Rock Islands such as channels, blue holes, drop-offs, caverns and caves. Channel currents attract mantas and all kinds of sharks in large numbers, while colourful coral gardens and reefs brimming with life also await you in Palau.

New Moon Spawning Season!

The New Moon Spawning liveaboard itinerary is scheduled to coincide with the period when thousands of bumphead parrotfish gather in one area of Palau each month to procreate.

During the New Moon dives you will witness hundreds of bumphead parrotfish gathering to start their noisy mating dance. With loud bangs, the males bump their heads together like buffaloes to establish superiority over females with color changes taking place as the fish prepare to spawn

Around the time when this event is expected to occur, the Cruise Director will give a number of informative presentations about the unique spawning dives which make this liveaboard diving adventure truly special.

Please note that these dives are only for the experienced diver as there can often be very strong currents at the sites where the action is happening.

***Reef hooks and SMBs are not available to rent. Guests are advised to bring their own or they can be purchased on board.

Cabins

Premium Twin Cabin

Palau Siren has four fixed twin cabins and two flexible twins which can be converted to double beds. All cabins are equipped with individually controlled air-conditioning units, offer plenty of storage space as well as en-suite bathrooms with hot water. For added luxury, bathrobes and towels are provided.

Premium Double Cabin

Palau Siren has two fixed double bed cabins located at the bow which are fitted with individually controlled air-conditioning units, offer plenty of storage space as well as en-suite bathrooms with hot water. For added luxury, bathrobes and towels are provided.

Costs:

The trip cost, after tax, will be $5600 card or $5300 cash (If paid exclusively with cash)*
The Palau Islands State Permits is currently an additional $300 and will be paid before disembarkation.**

Nitrox: $145 after tax

Unlimited Wifi: $72 after tax

Payment Schedule:
$600 Deposit required when signing up to reserve spot
$1300 Non Refundable payment required on or before July 15th 2026
Remainder of the trip will be due May 1st 2027

Must have recent dive experience, Advanced Open Water (or equivalent), minimum 50 logged dives (mandatory), and be comfortable with currents.
It is a mandatory requirement for all divers to have insurance which covers all scuba diving activities, including emergency evacuation and recompression chamber costs.
